The general Party branch committee of the law firms directly subordinated to Department of Justice, Sichuan organized an activity of “100-day Lawyer Service Offered by All Party Members – Sichuan Lawyers are in Action for Legal Publicity”. The Party branch of Tohota Law Firm paid high attention to this activity and considered it to be an important measure for our Party member lawyers to approach the masses, focus on their livelihood and promote the construction of primary party organization as well as give full play to exemplary and vanguard role of our dedicated Party member lawyers serving people.

At 9:30am of June 12, 2012, the Party branch of Tahota appointed our Party members Yu Qiong, Chen Feiji and Wang Mi to take part in the publicity of legal aid held in Human Resource Market of Jinjiang District in response to the spirit passed from the general Party branch committee of Department of Justice, Sichuan. More than 50 lawyers from 11 law firms and staff of Sichuan Province Lawyers Association had distributed some materials like Guide for Application of Legal Aid, 30 Answers-Questions on Legal Aid and Legal Aid by Lawyers to thousands of rural migrant workers queued in front of the reception desk. The lawyers made a statement that they would provide free legal services for those qualified as agency or defense so as to enhance the awareness and ability of the rural migrant workers in protecting their rights according to law and actively help them to defend their legitimate rights and interests through litigation.

The Party member lawyers of our firm also patiently and carefully replied many difficulties and hot issues collectively raised by the rural migrant workers on labor contract signing, wage arrears, labor protection, industrial injury and social security, which made them effectively avoid the legal risk and understand the reliefs and solutions in case of the legal disputes. There were more than 900 pieces of materials distributed via this activity and over 320 people accepted the legal consultation. All served rural migrant workers felt that the Party member lawyers were very diligent and hardworking to provide legal services.
